How I'd scale to £10k a month in just three days...


If I had to start again in copywriting, here’s how I’d get to £10,000 recurring revenue a month…

… within 3 days of registering my business:

☑️ Step one: call all my current clients.

☑️ Step two: tell them things that I could only know if I’d known them for two years.

☑️ Step three: convince them I’d been in a time machine.

☑️ Step four: tell them what has (and hasn’t) worked the past two years, giving them the best marketing plan ever.

☑️ Step five: send my invoices.

You too can replicate this method.

All you need are lots of clients.

And a time machine.

Have you noticed loads of people using this hook recently?

"If I was to start again... this is how I'd do XYZ"

It's doing my tits in.

Mainly because most of the advice is horrendous.

If there's one thing new business owners (or any business owners) don't need to hear, it's fluffy advice from some wanker on LinkedIn claiming they've got the magic pill to cure their business woes.

The biggest difference between someone just starting out and a six figure business owner is confidence.

Confidence in:

  • Your skills
  • Your processes
  • Your past results
  • Your pitch
  • Your prices

... in everything.

I love studying confidence as a concept.

(Ooooooo that sounded a bit posh for me, didn't it?)

But yeah... I do serious stuff.

Sometimes.

And the main takeaway for me is that confidence comes from experience.

You might argue you can be confident when launching a business. But I'd argue that's determination. And a smidge of hope.

To feel confident, you need validation. Not from someone else, but self-validation that you know your stuff and you're doing well.

You can't bottle that up and sell it.

(If you could, you'd be that rich you could pay Jeff Bezos to be your human footstool)

All the advice from 'successful business owners' does is put even more pressure on new business owners that they should be doing more:

  • More content creation
  • More SEO
  • More networking
  • More blogging
  • More cold emails
  • More cold calls
  • More more more more more

Most new business owners need encouragement. Validation that they're on the right track.

If 'popular content creators' spent more time doing that, they'd do far more good than dishing out tips that do nothing more than make them feel like 'an authority in their industry'.

But at the end of the day, that doesn't make feel good, does it?

So they won't.
